The first person I interviewed for my documentary was Will Floyd, a Portsmouth University student who identifies as non-binary. Will uses the gender neutral pro-nouns 'they and them'. My aim when speaking to Will, was to find out how they portray themselves through fashion as a gender non-conforming person and what difficulties they may face.
Will advised me that they currently dress more masculine and has the desire to dress more feminine however finds the sizing for women's clothes challenging as are catered for a completely different body type. Will believes there needs to be more of a market towards fashion that can be worn by anyone no matter their body.
"It can be quite difficult for non binary/gender non conforming people, espically with how clothes are tailored..."
