Production post

After editing down an hour's worth of interview footage, I can finally say the production of my radio documentary is on its way!

I found cutting down the 6 interviews really difficult because everyone made really interesting points and I had to decide which points were more relevant and suited to my target station. I believe in a radio 1 documentary, the presenter holds the listeners hand and guides them on a journey rather than it being solely interviews with no background information. Because of this, I had to cut down the interviews even further so that I could tell the story.

I have also found searching for music extreamly difficult as we are limited to using royalty free music and many of the sounds I found were cinematic and wouldn't appear on radio 1. After searching for hours, I finally found two songs that gave the documentary a heart beat, fitted the tone and also has a current dance feel that would appear on my target station.
