Meet Dr Anna

I wanted to meet with someone who has researched gender as a profession to find out what their views are on my documentary.

Dr Anna Bull is a gender academic and sociology lecturer at Portsmouth University, who specialises in gender and class. She is currently researching middle class people playing classical music.

Anna brought out some interesting points when discussing whether gender is science or social, with their being research that suggests both sexes are not as different as what society has taught us.

"I mean fashion and the way we present ourselves, the way we present our bodies, is a key way in which we perform gender."
