Meet C

An additional non-binary voice for my documentary is Portsmouth University student Claire Pearse, who goes by the name C. They prefer to be addressed with the gender neutral pro-nouns 'they and them'.

C first realised they was non-binary during their first year at university after joining the LGBT society. The society taught C the term non-binary and helped them figure out who they are. When discussing fashion, C believes that there should be more of a market for unisex clothing. They said: "Gender is on a spectrum, it’s fluid, you can be anyone you want to be."

“Doesn’t matter what section of the shop it’s in, I will just pick what I feel comfortable in.”
